Border Trip

A record 65.6 million people are either refugees, asylum seekers or internally displaced across the globe. Christians should see in the Bible's call to honor the dignity of all humanity and reach them with the gospel of peace. At our own border men, women, children and families are fleeing war, civil strife, hunger, torture, and murder. In spite of our political answers to this Christians cannot have a hostile or indifferent opinion to the suffering of the people made in the image of God many of whom are our brothers and sisters in the faith. Those who say, "I love God" and hate their brothers or sisters are liars. After all, those who don't love their brothers or sisters whom they have seen hardly love God whom they have not seen!

Border Strategy

Currently, thousands of migrants a month, including women and children, are coming to our Southern Border in the hopes of gaining asylum protections from the violence and corruption in Central America. We see this situation playing out in the news as migrants come to border towns along the US-Mexico border and seek to be accepted with asylum claims. Most will not be accepted and they will be turned around or eventually deported after their court hearings.
Border towns on the Mexico side are receiving thousands of people who are massing in these towns waiting to cross. We have been to these border towns and have seen this ourselves. We have interviewed migrants and those working with them.  This is creating a refugee situation all along the Southern Border.
